Hi guys!

We've been working on Little Legacy for about 15 months now (and we've neglected showing it to anyone really! Mistake.)

Little Legacy is a procedurally generated 2.5 RPG. It looks soft and cute on the inside, but we're aiming to contrast that with being able to commit horrible atrocities (if that's your thing), and probably more blood than is necessary.

Features
  • Entirely Unique Biomes
  • Entirely Unique NPCs / People
  • Totally destructable world
  • Hugely powerful magic system
  • NPCs you can talk / trade with
  • Develop relationships with NPCs
  • No classes - play how you want
  • Stat system which encourages extreme / different builds
  • It's cute!
  • Join a town and help / destroy them
  • Building / crafting
  • God System - gain favour of the gods for bonuses, potentially go on religious rampage?
  • Farming

Anyway - you're probably here for pictures first off, so have at these few (just taken).

General Info (I'll fill this out more as time goes on).

Procedurally generated stuff can all seem a bit samey - so we've tried to combat this by making each biome entirely unique.

Each biome in the game will have it's type (think forest, meadow, desert etc) - but also be entirely unique from the others of that type. It will have unique fauna that will be present inside - some potentially holding magical properties.

If you manage to find a tree which has healing properties, you could cut it down and build your house out of that type of wood. No need for healing potions!

This is also true for the towns in the game - they will be built out of the wood from the biome they're in. If you're planning to pillage / raze a town, you'd better check the area for any potential nasty side effects of the buildings!

The NPCs are all totally unique - we have plans for a procedurally generated conversation system, along with the NPCs holding relationships with the player. Some might like you straight off the bat, some might not.

So, once you're settled in the world - you might decide to buy a house in the town (this will offer it's own benefits). You'll have opportunities to befriend your neighbours, be able to battle with the town against any intruders and generally just live a quiet happy life.

Or..

You keep progressing - crafting, levelling up, killing enemies for better loot. Eventually you're pretty powerful - powerful enough to take on the gods of the world, and potentially become one yourself.

Destruction

With Little Legacy I wanted to create it in such a way that the entire world is able to be destroyed - this means houses, towns, forests - anything.

The systems are all coming into play, and I've been making some basic spells to show off the destructive aspect of the game.

When you're a god, you'll be powerful enough to save the world, or totally destroy it.

Interesting - I like the concept of contrasting the cutesy and appealing art style with whatever sort of "atrocious" gameplay you're describing. Like wantonly murdering NPCs, etc? Looking forward to hearing more!  Beer!
