Kilig: noun. It is the sudden feeling of an inexplicable joy one gets when something romantic or idealistic occurs. I don\'t think there\'s an English word or phrase for it. even Butterfly Stomach doesn\'t do justice to \"kilig\".

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I've been working with a friend for the last two years on his gaming projects so I am relatively new to the world of Game Music. I'm attaching a link to my SoundCloud and would appreciate any critiques (or compliments) that you would like to throw at me. Thank you! https://soundcloud.com/damzigy/

http://soundcloud.com/zack-parrish/blut-durst-by-zack-parrishI like to imagine the mass slaughter of millions of kittens while listening to this... Lyrics are mostly german, a couple of things are said in latin, blut durst = Blood Thirst. It's quite different from what you'd typically hear from me.

ommmmmg I love that midi sax so much! I don't know if it was intentional, but the sax sounds a bit out of tune, but I think it works very well with the piece. very chill, one of my favorite types of music(chill *turns into ice*) Finally made some music againan emotional bit. the beginning, a happy, swinging groove, but later an abrupt, stumbling change, symbolizing loss. also: super giraffe humper_ level 1some midi arrangements of some stuff I did: http://tindeck.com/listen/atdshttp://tindeck.com/listen/mmil

Heh, this is just about the same comment I got from my musician friend. The truth is... I don't have trained ears so I couldn't verify my suspicion. It's just a tracker module with samples and the original sample sounded obviously detuned even to me, so I finetuned it up a bit manually, but apparently it wasn't enough. Glad you liked it nonetheless. You've got some usual swordofkings quality material there which blows my doodles out of the water.

I mean it sounds detuned enough to sound like an intentional choice. like it should be in a trippy snes type game, wandering 16 bit city streets talking to like traffic signs or watching traffic lights who's light have been replaced with eyes stairing at you, the eyes follow you as you walk left and right on the screen. thank you though, but I don't think I blow anything out of the water, its like apples and oranges. radically different musics! depends on what someone prefers.

Interesting imagery. I kinda started composing it thinking of Finnish shareware games from the late DOS era, which sometimes had these carefree lounge type of tracks - often humoristic and sometimes slipping into the porn music territory, heheh. There seems to be little material of those games on Youtube, but matches the style. I can still imagine a "START!" text accompanying the first chord, then the match would begin and you'd roll marbles around or whatever. But it went to different places from what I originally thought and doesn't really sound like VGM in retrospect.
