Wow, good technical skills. You're really good at using detailing well. You make me feel all rusty...
I'd love to see you try something a little lighter and more gestural, though. if I'm not mistaken practicing in a style that doesn't let you rely on your strengths might make your forms a pop a bit more.
Anyway don't mind me, you're more competent than I am!

It's a rare Zebra Nobi Nobi! Love it man.  Here's my latest Threadless t-shirt design submission to be:  Just sort of slapped it on the Threadless t-shirt sand colour to see what it would be like. I realize the finger isn't correct toward the base, but that's on purpose since this is an abstract, and it's obviously not a finger from this world, but the world that exists in my very disturbed imagination... |

This looks really great!
Right now it feels a bit busy, I'd suggest you tone down the skulls on his suit a little, and shade the tie, maybe add some colour (or tone) to the lower right side.
It's really nice right now, just suggesting things that might enhance it. Try them, or not, just wanted to add some thoughts on it.
That's odd... I was thinking the hidden elements weren't very visible at all, the sculls more than anything. Maybe it's my colourvision playing tricks on me. The sculls are really that visible? I considered increasing the visibillity a few times actually. Odd. The tie was deliberately made in a plain colour. Vague blood metaphor and I wanted the eyes to focus on the head section and hands as somewhat separate from the suit, the other metaphor. I agree with the comment that the suitcase is looking wonky though. Oh, and a little experiment I did the other day:  Played around with Otus' shapes a little. Turned out pretty funky I suppose. |
