No, really. I really hope they get that crowbar Reddit was supposed to be sending- the experiments start tomorrow! In all seriousness, I can't wait.

Yeah, I've seen that before. Quite amusing.

And I hope the earth implodes or something. Would be something different for a change. Besides, for the kind of money that has gone into that thing, we should expect at least as much.

Haha, just read a good one I haven't seen before.
I mean, everyone probably read the numerous (and repetitive) doomsday scenarios and all the numerous (and just as repetitive) answers on why it won't happen.

What strikes me as incredibly funny though is that German guy who predicts Earth will be eaten by a slowly growing Black Hole in a 4-year span.
2008 + 4 = 2012

All the doomsday theories are slowly falling into place :D

IT... HAS... BEGUN!

The scientists just released the particles into the LHC this morning. Apparently it's going to be about a month before they collide, though. In other awesome news, Reddit finally sent the crowbar.

Saw that this morning, it made my day.

So if this doesn't bring in strange aliens and face huggers then, I will settle for the zombie apocalypse.

Quote
Dr. Arkani-Hamed said concerning worries about the death of the Earth or universe, “Neither has any merit.” He pointed out that because of the dice-throwing nature of quantum physics, there was some probability of almost anything happening. There is some minuscule probability, he said, “the Large Hadron Collider might make dragons that might eat us up.”

We're going to get eaten by dragons!

I don't think that the world is that boring, it's just that our Western society has found a way to make it boring.

And I don't know if we really want a disaster from this machine, odds are it would be pretty bad, earth shattering bad.

Oh, and that rap...why did you have to post it, WHY???

I like that the page is actually done in Javascript.

Code:
if (!(typeof worldHasEnded == "undefined")) {
document.write("YUP.");
} else {
document.write("NOPE.");
}

Oh, and that rap...why did you have to post it, WHY???

Why not? It's good because it's true. Besides, nerdy chicks can't hurt, ever.
