Some time back Glaiel-Gamer made an interesting thread on random (Markov chain derived) text...well today I found this -- JanusNode:

I've never really seen a tool for making generated text like this (which raises the question...who would want one I guess), but I admit it's pretty fascinating to me, and makes me wonder if the tools used to make games are focused too much in a few areas (visual art, sound), to the detriment of others...?

The Markov chain engine I've always used is "MegaHAL". It's got some simple but convenient configuration options and it's easy to embed. I hooked a copy up to AIM once and tried to trick people into having conversations with it. I've been meaning to hook it up to a twitter account for some time but don't seem to be getting around to this...
