I think Bowser just dethroned King Koopa and adopted Koopa's children (or just allied with them in coup). This would explain Baby Bowser's existence and why he is different from rest of Koopa children. I think we have now concept for next Mario spinoff game starring Bowser in 70 hour long RPG about epic Koopa kingdom takeover

To be honest I don't really like these ones as much. Most of these are just gangster representations in modern world, especially the GTA and Rapper ones. Who's to say drugs aren't still involved in those representations of a Mafia Mario? I actually really just enjoy the starting line of that video I linked. "How many people are you willing to step on, to get what you want?" As an honest frequent psychedelic drug user, I much rather appreciate the idea that Mario really is just fucked up on drugs. Sorry that you think it to be unoriginal or cliche. Sounds like you may think it's just an easy cop-out to explain things. Why does everyone go with the cliche Mario is a depressive dude that hallucinates his adventures?
Consume some psychedelic drugs and it will all become very clear to you Amanita muscaria is the mushroom from Mario. And guess what, it's a poisonous psychoactive mushroom.

This mushroom is not commonly used as a recreational drug today, since we know it is a deliriant and not a regular psychedelic. Users tended never to use the substance more than once after their first use. But the vikings likely could have used these at some point, being that they were bad asses.

You know, I just had an idea so obvious it's probably been posted in this very thread before, but I'm putting it here anyway.
The games have 100% realistic physics. The Mushroom Kingdom has less gravity than Earth. Mario has grown up in a world with more brutal gravity, so jumping high is not a problem from him - indeed, he's way stronger and heavier than anything in the Mushroom Kingdom. Because there is less gravity, it is easier for things to grow larger, which is why we get the vast numbers of enormous mushroom towers, overlarge roving turtles, and so on. To the MK people, Mario is like a terrifying beast god who grew up in a hyperbolic gravity chamber.
Back on Earth, when Mario was rescuing his lady-friend from Donkey Kong, he doesn't have superhuman powers. He's just hupping over some barrels and barely making it. Any normal human, even an overweight guy like Mario, could be a Mushroom Kingdom superstar.
Even you.

You missed the point, cranky kong is the original donkey, mario know the modern donkey, therefore jumpman is the father of mario

So the million dollar question is this:
What is behind a shyguy's mask?

I always imagined he was an animated robe in a mask. If you pulled off the mask you'd see an empty space within the robe. Then the magic would be broken and the robe would just fall into a pile, never to move again.

I suppose I should appreciate they dont bring machetes. I always imagined he was an animated robe in a mask. If you pulled off the mask you'd see an empty space within the robe. Then the magic would be broken and the robe would just fall into a pile, never to move again.
It would make sense, specially given that masks were a frequent motif in SMB2

Clearly the shyguys in Mario's dream reflect his childhood traumas from Yoshi's island. Makes sense chronologically.
