the "nemesis system" sounds a lot like sid meier's pirates lol I was this close to running out and buying Shadow of Mordor when I heard that the Nemesis System is either severly crippled or completely lacking in the old-gen versions.
pod racing in real life, get the force anakin
Fuck the prequels. Why the hell are they calling this "pod racing" when a much more apt reference is the speeder bike chase on the forest moon of Endor?!

If Episode I is supposed to be a good kids movie, then why is it full of boring and hard-to-follow political intrigue?

black caricature played by one of the rare black actor in the movie or movie crew... BTW the political aspect was the best part of the prequels, but I'm a boring person

As a kid I wasn't able to understand the politics. As an adult it felt shallow and uninteresting. But I don't like any of the Star Wars movies, so whatevs

The first movie was released in 1999, the second was in 2004 As the narrative grew over the movies, there was parallel (made by lucas himself) how a republic allowed fascist practice to creep on as a threat loom and an idea of manipulating ideals to further shady scheme (reference to saddam hussein and irak and mass destruction weapon, nop it was for oil not democracy). That is was intentional is irrelevant, it's interesting in that context. Especially given the reaction with show like 24h to contrast for.

The prequels have some good ideas, but they're terribly written and told by a director that's absolutely tone deaf to basic human interactions. I can't wait to see what Disney is able to produce when capable directors once again get a chance to play with the Star Wars toybox.

Interesting article. Doesn't sound that bad to me, of course month after month of nothing to do must be frustrating.

Thats very common practice amongst the IT industry in my experience. As other kotaku commenters said, its much better than the laid off immediately alternative, both of which I have already faced, because you have a constant income in the meanwhile. They really should just work to get personal projects accomplished really.

I bet it'll be another Disney Princess movie featuring Leia's children, with some flashy lightsaber duels thrown in for the boys.

https://www.yoyogames.com/news/240I guess who ever buy the compiler will scream their lungs out. But i don't think people actually spend money on their compiler. I guess they really missed the opportunity of copy how Valve employee works. But it certainly better move than getting layoff, but then i guess people who really feel depressed when being put into interproject is the same feeling of knowing someone in the company about to get layoff.
