It looked more like the underside to me. In fact, it looked like it was made with the exact same engine The Underside and Cave Story were built with.

I thought so! :D

I was thinking "You know... this is really familiar. It's not Cave Story, but..."

Excellent work, though, at any rate, and thanks for fixing the spikes! Beer!

Wow, that was excellent! Nice concept, smooth engine and gameplay (other than some slowdown with the larger enemy)

It's wonderful as it is, but still I hope to see it expanded!

Can't say I ever played "The Underside", to be honest I've just been getting more into 2DSSCRPGs. I used to be an MMO man, but that's not doing it for me anymore, the storyline and overall finesse portrayed by these indie games simply blow anything else out of the water.

-Downloads the new version- Wheee~

I also hope to see it expanded. ;p

Okay 1.02c is the official new version, and replaced the old one at the same link.  Hopefully the game is a lot less frustrating now!

Really?  Hmm, where, and how bad?  :I

Probably the dragons. Those double fireballs really lag the place up.

Hmm, right, I did notice that.  I'm looking into this particle engine stuff in the game maker documentation.  Maybe I'll be able to replace some shit with that, at least the fire effect.

I could give you a hand. Just let me get home tonight and I'd be able to type out which functions to use and how to use them, if you're having trouble finding about it in the documentation.

8:26:43!

This is amazing, man. I loved the mechanics, the way the player is introduced to them, the graphics, the music, everything! A definite vote from me.

Aw man, I'm stuck on the level with the block that you have to move from the right side of the level back to the left. (through both worlds?) You know, the level with a lot of jumping between worlds...

Can anyone PM me a hint for that level?  Gentleman

EDIT: Hint got! Thanks, Kao. Smiley

BTW I think all the new changes are good things.  Kiss

It's a surfaces bug with Game Maker.  Restart your computer or run FRAPS and you should be fine.
