Alright, so I should cram interesting minigames within the main game to kill time.
Everyone else was saying this as well. The developers seem to share opinions with commonfolk.

I just demoed this Hell Yeah game on Steam. This is absolutely the WORST place to have your demo crash. Developers, don't let this happen to you. http://rydia.net/udder/!crap/hellNo.jpgAs for the gameplay, it was pretty dull/generic and the microgames to kill a big enemy were lame. Definitely a case of style over substance. Demo definitely didn't convince me to buy it, even without the unfortunate crash timing.

You've killed countless suicidal birds in an effort to murder simple creatures.

Well, there's nothing wrong with that, but considering that the game was published by a huge company (SEGA), it kind of seems weird that the devs haven't protected the source code for the game. Again, nothing wrong, just unusual. (it was a crap game anyways, so it might not be a huge problem at all)

So I played my first games of Netrunner today!
Pretty fun stuff, I like it a lot. It's got a tough learning curve, but once you get past the huge amount of rules, it's really fun. The strategy is hard to figure out at first, but me and my friend think we're starting to get it a bit more.
The game mechanics are very interesting, and it's got a lot of compelling and high-tension components that make each confrontation super intense... the problem is that the game has a lot of preparation and build-up. Luckily, once it gets going, it gets going good.

Post anything you read that is relevant to developing and games in general. Try not to put stuff like reviews and articles about specific games unless the articles are about developing the game. This way, we don't have to have multiple threads discussing articles.

Wait, you want to consolidate the entire forum's purpose into one thread?
