I'm a Sydneysider who's going to be participating in Ludum Dare on August 20-22, and I'm working to organise a get-together for devs in Sydney to work in a single location for the comp as a part of Sydney Uni's game dev society (EGADS).

Currently, I'm just looking for interest to work out what sized room etc. we should be looking to get. So yeah, chuck a comment down if you'd be up for it!

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but, I'm looking to attend some sort of get together/s here in Sydney, weather it be for Ludum Dare, or just a once off, or just a monthly day-long meetup like what the Smash Boards do, or whatever. Pretty much here to say that this makes at least 3 of us, and I know there's another guy on the Flashpunk Forums who would be interested too.

Hey! Sorry for the late reply. If you're still looking for a game dev group in sydney, I'd recommend the IGDA sydney chapter. We meet every month or so for drinks and (sometimes) playtesting, and it's just a really awesome network of people. http://www.facebook.com/groups/38132449086/
