Looking great! I have just one comment from my perspective. The easy tracks, or beginner tracks should be... "fair"? For instance, that bit in the track where there are sewers and it looks like you get to a dead end, you can't pass it easily without memorizing the track. It's kind of annoying for someone who just starts playing your game to get stuck and lose because of these kind of unexpected dead ends. In more advanced tracks that might be more reasonable to put that. You will notice many racer games have their first track to be more of that "0" shaped tracks. Also, make sure sharp turns are visible and it is always clear where you need to go. I hate racing games where I reach a place I am not sure where I need to continue. For instance roads that go both straight and right, or T junctions, and you have to read those little signs they put there to know exactly where to continue. Maybe I am not that fast(heh), but those kind of things always put me off in a racing game. At least when I just started playing it.

Hi PompiPompi, the tracks that are posted are showcase tracks of what the player could design with the building blocks that are provided with the game. The player is free to design their own tracks as crazy, easy , hard as they like

And my comment was more general than criticising the specific track in the video. I just used that specific track as a sample.

Yep users can build their own tracks. There will be some official tracks with different difficulties as well. But we feel that gamers can also build better tracks than the developers :D

Wow, I'm surprised this thread popped up again.
So, with this new direction, how do you differentiate yourselves from Trackmania?

Hi oebet, For starters we will still be having the solo and group races with scripting features for players to create new gameplay modes. We will also have different themes for the players to mix n match as opposed to just one current modern day theme. Themes can vary from real life to toony to post apocalyptic to clean sci fi look and feel. Vehicle customization will also be added in the later stages of development.

Really beautiful, but again, I don't like the level design of this track as it's too hard to see where you are suppose to go(even with the tiny lights on the side of the track).

You're right PompiPompi, the track lighting needs work.

Hi guys, Just to let you know that TrackVerse Alpha v0.1 is finally ready for download. It is still an early work in progress but the player will be able to build their own tracks and race on LAN or internet play provided that they know the host's IP address. To download it visit http://trackverse.net/ :D Visit the tutorials section for more info on how to build your own tracks.

Just changed to a better server hosting. TrackVerse Alpha downloads at trackverse.net should be much faster now without the waiting time. Apologies to anyone who tried downloading earlier.
