One part of my wants to love indiegamer.com, the money hungry / I want to make games for a living part of me, not sure if thats a good thing or not, I think its kinda unavoidable though, im assuming most people posting on Tigs who are at the age where your paying rent/mortgage/bills etc, have at least considered making games for a living, and indiegamer.com has alot more members that treat game development as a job rather than a hobby, and can be good help at making games for a living more real, purely on a business level.
I cant say much for the actual gamedev talk over there, its like another language to me...
Indies make money? How?

There have always been interactive experiences that go beyond entertainment. For example, if mafia games are too fun for you, then you can always join the mafia.

But yeah. I was like twelve. Now I'm fourteen. What a difference.

Now I'm fourteen.
If you're really a fourteen year old, then you're probably the least douchy fourteen year old on the internet. Congratulations!

While the term gaming relates to game (any of a number of structured activities), it usually implies participation in particular kinds of games. The content is very good. ====================================================================================== Bob Alcohol Rehabilitation

I dunno, bob... I've tried the content, and I'm not sure it's quite right. I'm not quite getting those structured activity vibes you're talkin' about.

Yeah, they're like terminators or something, it's scary. I'd just drop it, otherwise Spamnet will send a spambot back from the future to kill you and post using your account. Unless... IT'S ALREADY HAPPENED

That works too. Although Snood isn't as polished, and one thing that I find undesirable (as I Like Cake said elsewhere) is highly polished but vapid games.

Told you they're getting Smarter. That image had to have created itself. No mere being of flesh could have done so.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...this thread had me questioning my motives for wanting to get into the indie game industry. Do I just want to make money? Or do I esnt to create original, creative titles? Well after I came to my senses, I remembered that what I want to do is make games that completely appeal to me and any fans of the genres I would do. You know, make the kind of games that would have everything you (and any fan of the genre) would like while being fresh and unique. Sure I want to get paid for it but mainly to not have to do a terrible 8 to 10 job for the rest of my life. Who wouldn't want to get paid to be original and do what they love AND something that pleases others? (which is another reason why I want to create my own games)
