Hello! We are Black Helga and we're looking for a Lead Programmer!

We’re a bunch of enthusiastic developers from around the world, currently working on our first project called Trickshot, and we are have an opening for an experienced programmer to lead our programming department.

ABOUT TRICKSHOT:
Trickshot is a 2,5D action-adventure game with puzzle, platforming and stealth elements to the mix. It's a game about experimentation, about trial and error and about ingenuity.

In it, you'll play as Addlein - a young girl gifted with magical powers. With her sister missing, a worried Addy ventures off into the big, scary world in hopes of finding her.

In terms of gameplay the game mixes the skilled shot mechanics of Angry Birds/ Worms with the movement style of Trine/ Mark of the Ninja. In a way, imagine Trine's Rogue character - but with more versatility when it comes to what you can shoot.

ABOUT BLACK HELGA GAMES:
We’re a worldwide team of 13 and we are a collaborative group in the sense that - unfortunately - (for now) we work on Trickshot on our free times as a hobbyist project.

In terms of money and budgets - we offer each team member an equal partnership as all resulting revenue is to be shared among the team. These conditions are not ideal, but (sadly) it is what we can offer.

CURRENT OBJECTIVE:
We're working to make a small demo of the game's capabilities and share it with the audience. We then aim to start a crowdfunding campaign, look for external funding/investors, and with it finance the full development of the game.

Currently we're searching for a programmer with the following skills:
  • >2 years of Unity 3D experience;
  • Some sort of Game Industry experience (commercial titles launched, professional studio experience, indie studio experience, etc);
  • (Preferably) >1 released title using Unity;
  • Well versed of game development pipelines and methodologies;
  • Extensive knowledge of C#;
  • Team management experience (previous experience of managing groups of 1 or more persons);
  • Is willing to devote personal/free time to the project;
  • Hardworking and dedicated team-player;
  • Is (generally) a nice person;
  • Highly communicative;

Sound like your type of thing?
