Hi folks,

Star Opus I, Episode 1 - Pathway to the Pollux is now downloadable as freeware. This one-man-project is space action adventure type game including 50 jump points to explore, 25 different enemies with twisted and advanced steering behaviours. Destroy alien hex- cities, beware black holes. Navigate your way to the 'Huge Kaou Pih' and finalize them.

The first episode called Star Opus I, Episode 1 - 'Pathway to the Pollux' is now downloadable.

Episode 2, called 'Journey to the Kaou Pih' is now under construction and coming out this year. This episode ends the first part of the Star Opus I. Part II and III leads player to the ground and the deep caves of the Huge Kaou Pih.

Music is made by using Korg Trinity, Yamaha FS1R, Acces Virus & Roland xv5080 + some soft synths. I really love the FS1R formant- type sounds and Roland xv- sounds.

p.s Version 1.01 is now downloadable:)

Not had a look at it yet but you should introduce yourself before advertising your game. A lot of people just make a post to pimp their game and disappear off into the ether which tends to wind people up.

That said, if you're going to stick around and get involved, welcome.

This game is freeware. So, I hope everybody enjoys it. I don't want to advertise my game though. I just want to share my project to everyone who likes Omega Race- type games.

Please send some feedback: what's good & what's bad. This is my 2nd game actually.

Excelent game. Graphics and the atmosphere is stunning. One downside is that the controlling of the ship is quite hard for the beginners.

Very impressive graphics and polish and attention to detail. The way the menus swipe in and out is very cool and the backgrounds are lovely.

I too found the controls a bit frustrating, I kept just bouncing around the walls until I get lucky and kill every thing or die. I never did like the controls in the old Asteroid games either, didn't have much patience in learning them so I gave up early.

Nice game, just not my thing I guess.

Thanks for the comments. I think this first part with one thruster is mainly created for Omega Race/Thrust- lovers:)

I'm currently scriptin' last jumppoints of the Star Opus I, Episode 2 - 'Journey to the Kaou Pih' (=the last 24 jumppoints). And these jumppoints are definitely not for beginners:)

The next part of Star Opus trilogy is also under construction - and this is some kind of blend of Spindizzy, Avenger and Star Opus I.
