'Sup dudes,
I just finished an arena shooter that I've been working at on and off for a couple of months.  

There's no end to the game(until you die) so it's purely for score.  My intent was to make a shooter that has a lot of functionality built into a simple control scheme (z,x, and c.)  So you can do a lot of rad junk like shoot a beam cannon and missiles and boosting and you have two kinds of guns.  

There are some subtleties to the game that might not be immediately apparent like how the shield can absorb particle bullets for energy, so it's a little more complex than it seems at a cursory glance.

Also there's modular battleships that you have to fight.

*added health regeneration so it's much more forgiving now

I somehow really like the graphical style in this game The game looks very solid, makes me want to make more shmups. Sweet stuff
