Remains nameless for now

Ok so this is a game I have been working on.
So this game remains nameless for now but I will give you a brief recap:

Story is  still WIP, trying to focus on gameplay if I'm being honest.


More specifics, there are 6 enemy types:

Drone: Stabs you when close, pretty clear.
Jumper: Doesn't have a character model at the moment but launches itself at you periodicly
Infestor : Bio weapon that 'infects' you when close. If infected your health slowly drains.        Needs nerfing tbh.
Wanderer: This guy just wanders around and explodes when you get close, easly recognisable because he has no arms
Tank: Huge guy, high health, highdamage.
Empowerer: Speeds up drones, makes them harder to kill.

Obviously the main character doesn't have a model yet either

Ok so some updatesss! 24/10/2012 

I felt I'd post as I havn't for a while show this isnt another dead project... I'm still kicking.

as you can probably see there are 2 new upgrade trees, makes a total of 6:

machine gun, shotgun, health, sprint, placeable turrets, rockets.

Pathfinding is up and running beautifully

Also working on some more enemy type variety as i think you rightfully noticed that. That is literally my next job and i have some ideas but ill post those.
The game is going to divided into 3 modes, classic, arcade and hardcore.
I know it doesn't sound like much but the game will be heap so its all good.

Classic will be the upgrade tree etc, arcade will be powerup drops of varying power/many lives and hardcore will be classic but you die much much quicker.  Im sorry that I cannot post too many details I want to level with you I am smack in the middle in a masters of pharmacy degree and it has to take priority at this point. Game is starting to fall into place though which is making me happy.

I included some basic instructions in the download, will add some screenshots/background and some other stuff when I'm back home today Smiley

Hey there.

I downloaded your game the other day and forgot about it until just then when I saw it sitting in my download directory  Embarrassed

Anyway, I fired it up and played a few rounds, managed to get to wave 8 I before I died. At first I didn't know if you had implemented player health because there was no visual feedback, only around wave 5 or 6 did I notice the health on the GUI (too busy looking at the action). I'd highly recommend some visual feedback where the player is focused (his robot).

I found controls nice and easy to move and shoot, it was responsive overall and I didn't encounter any issues stopping me playing.

It's a nice start to your first game, keep it up Smiley

Aside from that, it seems there's only 6 enemy types, and most of them are just clones of "Does damage when it gets close to you".  Any plans to add more enemies or change their behaviors to have more variety?
