3 DAYS REMAIN Things are taking shape quickly. Want to get decently clear graphics in, and they can be refined later if they need to be. This is missing the background layer, which will be pretty much omnipresent throughout, but very simple two colour.

62 HOURS REMAIN Morning of the antepenultimate day More arts. More code. Today I added automatic text nodes, for forced story events and the meager bits of dialogue. I'm focusing largely on the event code and such, because without that the game just isn't finished. A bit more of the works in progress. (rightclickview 2x)

54 HOURS REMAIN Evening of the antepenultimate day Made a fair bit of progress today. Got the event system in, debugged, and half of them are done. The easy half. The other ones, will require a bit more tinkering. Fixed a ton of bugs along the way, added the rest of the music, working on adding the last of the sounds. I'm almost there. And then I'll just keep working on the art after the submission. (rightclickview 2x) Taking a quick break for a snack and to play a game for a bit. I think I should go easy this evening, for some reason, running out of time as I am.

33 HOURS REMAIN Afternoon of the penultimate day Today I coded and debugged 4 of 7 events that happen in the game. The last two are the most complex, but probably won't be too difficult. I need rudimentary AI, but funnily enough I can just use the Player class and tell it to move and jump and it should do nicely. I have a massive assignment to do tonight, so I won't make much more progress this evening. But I'll get the events done by the deadline for sure, and I'll keep at the graphics until they're done, even if all the judges will have downloaded it already by then. Haha, I may add optional colour filters that you can activate by pressing directions during the loading screen but that's for later.

26 HOURS REMAIN Night of the penultimate day Spent most of this evening working on an assignment I believed to be due tomorrow. It wasn't. Anyway. Added the all-important klaxon. And some other little touches. The final events, I'm edging towards. Need to get the groundwork in.

15 HOURS REMAIN Morning of the FINAL DAY Thanks, everybody for the support. I thought I would upload early and fix, but I have one last feature I HAVE to implement before submitting. Just because. And I have to make a trailer, just 'cause I should. So I'll be cutting it close, but not tooo close. ALMOST THERE!

One event done. One to go. I've made good progress though, and I wanted to make a list. Here's the final breakdown of stuff to get done during the final day: complete scavenger event- complete patrol event
- add rudimentary in-game instructions, even just a controls screen
- add a finish screen of some sort
- add any graphics I deem utterly necessary
- make any tweaks I deem necessary
- make a video
- submit
- relax
- remember something I've forgotten, add it
Should be no problem I'll be happy to have the video, because I'll finally be able to show off my game and begin flogging it a bit. I've never really put any time into that in the past, but for this project, I think it's worth it.
