Game OriginsGauge was at first a free PC game I released ~10 month ago. I started its developpement because I didn't have any inspiration for graphic design at the time. So I started thinking : "ok, I'm not able to create a game with great graphics for now, let's try to create a game without graphics".
What is Gauge? It's a kind of experimental, minimalistic game where the player has to charge a gauge as close as possible to the maximum edge without touching it. While the player tries to keep up the pace of this single touch game, many graphical events will occur trying to distract the player and make him lose. Things get really serious and physical when the player can control a second gauge with his other hand.
Porting the game on iOS - from v1.0 to v1.5Recently The Game Atelier (
www.game-atelier.com) contacted me because they wanted to help me publishing the game on iOS devices. So I took 3 months to work on the port... 3 months to rework on the game, to add features, graphical effects and a better difficulty curve.
10 month ago I used to say in the PC thread (
http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?topic=21900.0):
"What do I think about the game ?... Well I'm proud to release it now, but I know it could be really, really better. There still so many ideas I could find with such a concept."That's what I did with the iOS version. I included a lot of improvements, in fact it's almost a sequel.
I hope you'll like it and have fun with it !
