Lava Blade is a procedurally generated side-scrolling platformer. I'm really happy with the name, whatcha think?

Lava blade sounds like a name of a sword.
or maybe your game revolves around a guy with a lava blade?

What do you guys think of the name Feyscape for a exploration based side scroller?

I don't know, I'm not good at committing to names. Always worried I'm going to think of a much better one later. Before Feyscape I was thinking of going with Wanderer.

First, please give us more details of your game. Just saying an exploration based side-scrolling game is not enough for me.

Strongly inspired by Zelda II
Procedurally genned overworld and instances
Hopefully lots of locations to explore like towns, dungeons and such
Still working on story line aspects, but hopefully the story should be primarily procedurally genned.

We're making a game about vikings, where 4 teams of vikings raid each other and a central npc town to get food to survive the winter.

We were thinking maybe something involving Norse Mythology.

Some names we're considering:
Clashing of Axes
Midgard Mayhem/Madness
Axe Age

Industcity sounds like a city in the desert.

Maybe something like Commodity City is better. Doesn't really mean anything, but seems to get more to the point and attract attention of people who like that stuff.

Sorry, but to me it sounds like a junk deposit. You can search about industry terminology if you need a better name. It could give you an idea.

Industrial Zone is my example.

Free Market

A game that starts off looking like a tycoon game. You can choose to start off in mining, transportation, city development, farming, construction, etc.

However, after a few hours into the game, it becomes apparent that the game is all about organized crime - human trafficking, industrial espionage, corruption, bribery, etc. Free market is a play on the theme that everyone has a price.

Another thing I played around with was Entrepreneur's Dilemma, a play on words for Prisoner's Dilemma, suggesting how the game is meant to be played.

We're developing a arcade-ish action racing game called "Race The Sun."

Grin:handthumbsupR:

Me and my team are creating a game call Wishful Lie.
...
ForgetMeNotAnnie

Neither name is that compelling, and without supporting graphics the horror/survival thing doesn't come through at all. Maybe try something with "Illusion" or "Feign"?

Anyway my game's name is Digi TD

Yawn

My new game: "RUNES OF KANDAR".

Generic fantasy name is generic. Sad You may have a hard time standing out among all the other generically named fantasy stuff.

Some names we're considering:
Clashing of Axes
Midgard Mayhem/Madness
Axe Age

I rather like Axe Age. Crossed Axes might also work.

Industcity, a game where you can produce any commodity and market them.

Marketing (convincing people to buy something) and taking something to market (making it available for purchase) are two very different things. A marketing sim would be interesting, but is that what you're really after?

Doggie Blues 3D

"Doggie" because the main character is a K9.
"Blues"  'cause he's in trouble (and blue).
"3D"     'cause it's a 3D game.

The release is still in beta. Expected out dec.1st for iOS & Android.

Doggie Blues 3D

"Doggie" because the main character is a K9.
"Blues"  'cause he's in trouble (and blue).
"3D"     'cause it's a 3D game.

I would remove the 3D part. Unless there's an older Doggie Blues that isn't 3D. "3D" in the name only works if it implies different gameplay, e.g. Prince of Persia 3D, Lemmings 3D.

dungelot ! (dunno if it is a nice name for dungeon crawler game )  ( Dungeon + a lot )

I like it, medieval dungeon crawler is the first thing that comes to mind with Dungelot (more like dungeon+camelot).

The second thing that comes to mind is "a lot of shit"  Grin

Warhead Wars - the likes of 'Missile Command' game but with elements of strategy, where you can build your own base and launch missiles at the enemy.

I cant come up with a name for my roguelike right now. It has a complicated random dungeon and plot generater that generates a completely different adventure each time you play any IDEAS for a name? for example you can play it one time and you have to get to the bottom of the 'haunted catacombs' to kill the lich, the next time you play you may be going down to the bottom of the 'bloody dungeon' in order to retrieve an amulet.  The next time you play you may be sent by a king to destroy the amulet that is corrupting the 'Corrupted forest'. any ideas..
