Hi!, i'm not very involved in this community so i think this would be a nice way to start.
I bring to you this devlog about my new project.




"In white consciousness' slowly rotting universe, Loe,
lady of creativity is doing again what she does best;
acting as gateway between mind and reality.

This is a story about the genesis of ducks."


This game is a deadly serious shmup centered about another ducks folk tale.

The main gimmick i'm trying to pull off is its control scheme: full keyboard natural mapped input. You don't shoot and you can fly through bullets, killing enemies using a slash mechanic.

Also, i'm trying to tackle its art style through overlaying of stock footage and minimalistic 3D.

About scope, I'm not thinking to make it a very long game... maybe 30 minutes tops.

I have composed some music for it too, going to put it here so you get a hang of the look and feel.

No, no touchscreen. These are keyboard inputs. As i wrote in the post, the game uses all the keyboard keys (rows from 0-9 to Z-period) mapped naturally to the screen.
