I'm finishing up what will be my first flash game. I check out Newgrounds and other sites at times, and I hear all kinds of great music - and I see other flash game makers who somehow come to arrangements with these artists to use music in their games.

Now, I've seen royalty-free sites like incompetech.com and all as well. But I'm wondering what the general process is for licensing someone's music for use in a flash game? What's to be expected normally, how is it approached (or, for you artists, how do you prefer to be approached?) and so on.

A lot of this is new to me, so I'm hoping to get some good feedback and tips on this. Or tips on additional good places to find music for this kind of use. Thanks!

Yo Victor, yea just scan the forums for the various composers that advertise their services + music. Take a lisetn and approach any that you feel are suitable for your project.
