great belgian band i just discovered. neat twin peaks-esque vibe to them. im also reminded of john zorn's "surf" albums and morricone's giallo themes.

Question: Are the rest of Bloc Party's albums as good as The Silent Alarm? Are they worth a listen? Which should I listen to next?
I'll probably listen to them all either way.

Röyksopp's latest album The Inevitable End. This album is so great, it might be even better than Junior.

this guy's first 2 albums are among the top krautrock releases as far as im concerned. he is from the same berlin scene as klaus schulze and tangerine dream (he was actually a roadie for schulze in the 70s) but he uses a guitar and an echo machine instead of synths and sequencers. and instead of the usual "cosmic" thing he goes for something that feels very intimate & "personal" (considering the "genre" he's working in) with rough vocals and recordings of his newborn daughter on the 2nd album etc.

Was going through my old ticket stubs and saw my Arab Strap ticket, I saw the last gig on their farewell tour, it was amazing but kinda sad.
