Somebody already mentioned the colour palette and I have to agree that it looks lovely!

The Retro City Rampage style TV scanlines are a cool touch as well.

One thing I was curious about; you seemed to have got the game Greenlit in well under a month. As someone who is working on my first game that I intend to run through that process, is there any advice or insight you could lend so that I'd know what to expect? It all seems a bit nerve-wracking to me at this stage!

Thanks!   Smiley

DnJ is my 3rd game on steam and was greenlit in 17 days, i think. (my second game "Jet Set Knights" in 14 days)
But, my first game on steam "Obludia" was greenlit in more than one year! Damn, was so hard  Cry  Dunno how i can help you, especially marketing is very hard for me, i am still newbie on this field. After "Obludia" i gained nice community of players and fans, it's very important. Perfect places to put some info about your greenlight game is here on Tigsource, indiedb, indiegames.com or indiegamemag, i think this helped me much.

With each game it's a bit nerve-wracking for me too.

btw, sorry for my english..

Thanks for the reply! I'll be posting the project on TIGSource when I'm ready for sure.

Best of luck with the game, I'll grab it when it's out Smiley

Really lively scenes and frantic gameplay, love it. Gorgeous colours too.
Are you going to be adding more things like the dog in the background? Obviously not too much so as to become distracting because there's a lot going on already, but I love that sorta detailing.

Congratulations on the greenlight!

Yes i think, i will add more things like the dog but only for fun, they are only as background.
But... maybe some of them will be like a secret bonus or something like this.  Blink

Looking good.  I kinda prefer the colorful images without the TV scanlines.  Though it might be a good toggleable feature for later variety.

Interestingly, sust came across Beat Cop that has some similarities with DnJ (cops, donuts, pixel graphics):

Of course, the gameplay itsef is very different so that shouldn't be an issue but just in case someone asks. Wink

Thanks!  Smiley Yes, DnJ is totally different game. It's pure SHMUP with automatic scrolling like R-Type but without space ships.  Blink And of course, cops need donuts!  Kiss

Looks good man! I really like the aesthetic of the game. The only thing that I feel is missing is a little effect for the bullets hitting something, beside the white flashing. Other than that it looks good Smiley
