Man... I've never been able to find this supposed Hell Temple in La Mulana.  I got a few clues in, but couldn't figure it out (given how prevalent the themes of birth and death are in the game, I couldn't narrow down what the "corpse that watches the birth" was.  Alas.)

I gave up and started using guides about halfway through the game. I've never been all that good at weird puzzle shit, and in open exploration games like La Mulana, I'll pretty much always miss something essential in the first five minutes that I don't need until the very end of the game.

I had to use the wiki and the let's play a number of times, mostly for forgetting monuments and details. And hidden teleporters. I'd had to use it a lot more, but as I'm playing it with my brother, that makes things easier

I still can't stand to use guides on a game... even for something so unforgivably cruel and convoluted as La Mulana.

But I guess I'll have to give up on finding the Hell Temple (not that I've really been searching for it at all since I beat the game).
