I came across Vectorpark some time ago, and was impressed with the animations and things that I saw there.

I forgot about the site for a few years until today, when I tried out Windosill after learning about it from timw's Web log. I bought the second half (for $3 USD), and it was well worth it. Definitely one of the more unique and interesting Flash games I've seen.

My second discovery was that the same guy created another game called Feed the Head at some point. I really like this one as well. It's nice and bizarre.

I recommend trying these games if you haven't.

Park is awesome. It seems simple at first but if you keep poking around there's a ton of hidden stuff.

Funny, I'd just found my way back to vectorpark a few weeks ago (after having forgotten about it for some years) and played Feed the Head thoroughly and for long whiles. Did not know about Windosill, though. Czeching now.

Edit: I mean later.

 Shocked

Windosill is easily the best Flash game I have ever played.  It caught me totally off-guard.  Every time I entered a new scene I was like omg, wtf, really??? AWESOME

Some of the best graphics I have ever seen in a game.  It's a magical, almost spiritual experience.  Thank you for bringing this to my attention!

Patrick Smith... the dude who made this... must have like seriously godlike game development powers.  He deserves those $3.

Really. I played it twice over. I can't say that for most commercial games out there.

Windowsill was indeed an experience, some nice graphics, my only problem is that it got slow around the end (all the moving vectors made my laptop cry)

Eh, what? A Flash game I have to download? And the download link doesn't actually work? Please people, help me out, I'm confused. Where do I get this?

EDIT: Huh. Worked now. Very strange, that.

Download link worked perfectly for me. I assume the download is due to the activation system.

Still, fantastic little experience. Windosill was well worth the puny 3 bucks. I'd have paid 10 for it. Like it's been said, every scene was a very pleasant and highly original surprise. I can imagine it being pretty sllugish on some older computers, though.

Yeah, this game definitely has the highest joy per dollar ratio of any game I've bought.

I was just looking around Patrick Smith's site. He has a page of his drawings and paintings. Here's one:

He also has a Web log of sketches. Many of the recent ones are related to Windosill. I always like to see that sort of thing.

I just played windosill and, well I'm speechless. Every scene had me sitting there in disbelief thinking "this shouldn't be possible in Flash!" It's truly raised the bar by which I measure flash games. It's a truly unique experience and I'd recommend it to anyone and everyone.
