Ive been looking around and playing about with Win32API for a bit... but i cant seem to find any sort of function or method of retrieving a count of how many HIDs are plugged into a computer at a given time.

In this case i want to check if there are any keyboards or any mice plugged into the computer so i can use it as a conditional.

Does anyone know how to do this?

GetRawInputDeviceList is probably what you want.

thanks... thisll do for the time being... ill have to make a loop using GetRawInputDeviceInfo to determine wether or not the enumerated devices are of a specific type (mouse, keyboard, etc.)

at least ive got something to do now XD
