This thread is a little too empty nowadays.

Here a bunch of mockups I made for a horror game prototype that I intended to build around the findings from my final thesis on inducing negative emotions in the player. Initially this was intended to end up as an actual game, but I got stuck and had to abandon that plan.

@aamatniekss
I imagine it could be a little difficult to separate the background from the platforms while you're playing, but visually you've got so much going on here.

These are ui mockups for a species-creating, civilization-managing, action-platformer I'm working on. Think spore+catacomb kids.
Basically you manage your civilization, discover new tech, etc. and go on quests&adventures with your hero, platformer style.
I want the game to be in 320*180, so it's quite a challange to fit everything on the screen.

I really like how the ui turned out, though now i'm a bit stuck with ingame graphics..

This has me very intrigued, can you explain a little more what's going on with that tissue page? Looking at your website, seems like each tissue/organ/skin will have different traits, how are you handling that modularity?

Hi! My name is Zera. I'm new to the forums here. I've scrolled through this thread a lot recently and have been blown away by the talent of everyone. I'd love to help bring one of these projects to life! I just finished up and released a small game not too long ago and therefore wanted to hear if anyone was in need of a programmer to help on a preferably small 2D pixel art project.

I'm not really looking for compensation in terms of money as I'm mostly doing it for my portfolio.
You can get in contact with me through:

this looks sick, starring at it for a while I asked myself, why do the icicles swing back and forth, then I realized those aren't icicles but plants?!

This looks like a Metroidvania that I would SERIOUSLY play. I love how everything moves — it provides a creepy feeling but at the same time, a wonder that it would be awesome to explore this cave.

Couple that with item farming (perhaps some crafting - the hero is a knight, after all, so a smith shouldn't be too far XD) and you've got a knockout.

always love to see people doing subpixel animations and super small sprites, it's always fun and has a unique feeling you don't get from higher res pixel art.
