Hey guys my entire studio is always talking about doing a jam and I thought it would be cool to have other people to participate as well. Just wanted to see if there's any interest in doing a Chicago based TIGJam.

If there's enough interest I might come.. I live down in Chillicothe (about 10min out of Peoria) so it'd be a 3 hour drive. It'd be cool if it was a 2 or 3 day thing Tongue

Boot it up yo.

I live in Machesney Park. It's about ... Eh, an hour or so from Chicago.

Is anyone else in the area? This would be really cool to have a jam or a a a a a... get together. Thing.

I could bring cake.

Yeah I also live in Chicago and go to DePaul. I know at least ten or so people who would probably be interested.

You might attract a few Iowa Game Dev folk.  (There are more of us than you might think!)

Oh cool. I'm starting school at DePaul soon, and will be living in Chicago.  I'd definitely go to this.

OK, I just sent ChrisA9 an email on doing it. We'll see what he says!

If he's not available, we can make some sort of contingency plan too.  Smiley

IGDA Chicago is rebooting, and game jams are on our agenda!

Also, I help run a hackerspace in Glen Ellyn that'd love to host a game jam any day of the week.  Workshop 88.  We're all really cool people: game developers, board gamers, Arduino hackers, builders, etc.  Also, we're right off the train station from Chicago so it's an easy trip (address is 481 N Main St. Rear Building Unit B, Glen Ellyn, IL).

Pick a day and time, guys!  How about some time in the next month?  Preferably after 5pm, unless it's a weekend.  Let's propose 3 possible days/times and see what comes out of it:

(Sat) April 16, 2011.  12pm-?
(Fri) April 22, 2011.  6pm-?
(Sat) April 23, 2011.  12pm-?

Say when works for you!  Cellulose!: my wife's entire family is from Iowa!  It's a pain in the ass drive, but we didn't get to talk at all at PAX. Would love to see you there.
