Just finished the hovercarft... I'm a bad pixeler, so I'm making this in a slightly different style. I haven't added a character yet, but I still haven't quite got a good idea how to further implement the 'prehistoric' aspect of the game title. I'm pretty sure I want dinosaurs in there or cavemen or both. Does the hovercraft look too modern by the way? I thought about making one in a Flintstones style, but it didn't quite turn out well. Carnage... mmm, I guess you will be able to run over cavemen people, dinosaurs and so on. Perhaps some extra fun with the blades of the hovercraft. There's a good chance I will add retractable blades on the side of the hovercraft or something like that. Or ... just guns of some type? Perhaps MAD MAX style weapons. Needless to say there will be blood. Anyways, tons of work to do, so I'm back to the drawing board!

I... um. Didn't actually notice that there was any on the first two until you said that. I had thought that just the 3rd one was the bloody one. Sorry!

No problem at all, feedback like that is extremely useful and appreciated! And yes, you two are right it's not very obvious yet. I will change it and make it a lot more obvious.

Maybe the premise can be like this: scientists discover that the dinosaurs were killed by blades, so you've been sent back in time to kill off the dinosaurs with your hovercraft with blades! Genocide time!

Sounds like an excellent excuse for a nice dinosaur and cavemen onslaught. I'll let the player be the 'genocider'... as Georgy W. would say.

Yes, but you say the word "overkill" like it's a bad thing.

Still going strong, but I'm quite certain I won't finish in time. It's not an excuse since it only happened 3 days ago, but unfortunately I broke my thumb, so ... progress is going way slow. I'm determined to finish this project though, I promise... if only so I can say I've finished it here. I've got plenty of ideas now too; dropping crates with weapons and bonus things, dinosaurs, cavemen, retractable blades as I've shown in my sprites earlier and so on. Anyways, there's still a lot on the to-do list that simply múst be implemented before I can release a playable demo. I still have to paint most enemies and program those and that really sucks now that my thumb is broken. I'll slowly continue working though. Two screens to show the progress so far, still lacking lots and lots of the promised blood;

I have a small request. Does anyone know a good alternative to FRAPS or CAMstudio? It doesn't have to be free per say, but I'd like to have some software with which I can record my game without lagging it to a halt. Thanks in advance.

I've had good results with Camtasia, but it does affect the framerate of some games. For some other stuff, though, it's really good!
