harvest moon tale of two towns
no, that's a bad port. a new beginning is way better. super mario 3d land is really good. seconding crashmo. i know you like third person shooters, eva, so give kid icarus a try if you aren't left-handed.

Monster Hunter and I currently aren't on speaking terms. oh ya i also dont want to buy the CIRCLE PAD PRO bullshit
Then you should definitely stay away from Monster Hunter because I bought that circle pad bullshit and it's made my 3DS as big as a Game Gear. Because those jagoffs at Nintendo didn't put a second stick on the XL model. Buy a Vita instead.
Save your money, buy a CAANOO instead. No Monster Hunter but you'll save yourself from its bullshit.

idk if animal crossing is for you if you dont like games that waste time. i mean i like the game but if you get down it it's basically a huge grind.

I think of it more as a mind numbing meditative experience. (But seriously, it's actually pretty relaxing to plop down and catch some sharks or something after work for a few minutes, or before sleep. That and I get overly excited when I pay off my home loans)

Animal Crossing is just training children to helplessly accept the cruel materialistic cycle of accumulating property and debt for its own sake.
I got Sakura Samurai but haven't really sat down to play it. I may pick up Luigi's Mansion before my vacation so I can play it in the airport.

didn't know the new pokemon games had free movement of the player character. it would be very cool if they also weren't as linear as previous titles, like if there were an actual exploration factor to catching pokemon.

Only if that's how you play it. You could also just chill out and fish all day, which is what I've been doing. I think it also teaches kids patience (for example, many events take a day or more to actually take effect, including home renovations, access to the island, etc).

kid icarus is pretty far from console-style, actually. it just looks like it. it plays kind of like what i imagine a treasure third person shooter would play like

pretty much, yeah. it's the closest analogue there is, i think.
"what if you aimed in sin and punishment with a trackball? and had melee weapons and full control of your character sometimes?"

it actually kinda feels like a treasure game in general i think. there are a few things that make it *not that great* as a handheld game tho, such as having to prop up your 3ds on a stand to play comfortably and losing your hearts when you quit a level.

I can play it wherever, but i seem to be in the minority. If you don't want to lose your hearts pop the cartridge out before choosing any menu options. But yeah, it's a pain.

Kid icarus was a perfect wii game, pointing was just the perfect control, instead they choose the awkward imbalance of touchscreen + analog ... oh nintendo remember when you where the one giving spot on control instead of tack on?
