It has the odd resolution of an MSX2 game. But I don't know of any games which made use of the photographic graphics mode.
I've had a few laughs looking at SegaCD and CD32 games, in the meanwhile... :D

Family Boxing?
no, it's a very rare game, you won't even find it on many MSX2 lists. I remember seing a picture in a magazine and at the time these graphics were like the latest techonological achievements, I obsessed on this game for a long time Maybe I'll spoil it tomorrow

A2 is 'R-Type', isn't it? And isn't A4 'Flying Shark'?
And C1, as I said before, is 'Indy Heat' not supersprint. From the same series, I'd guess that C6 is 'Badlands'.
I give up on the MSX2 game. I looked at every game which uses Screen Mode 8, and it's none of them. So I reckon this one is a vapourware game that never got a commercial release.

Oh shit R-type, I was thinking about it but I couldn't remember any tank looking enemies but that's probably it... Hey the solution to my game was "Bad max", one of the first games announced for the MSX2. If anyone want to sbmit a game to identify then go for it, first arrived first served.

This might be my favourite indie game of all time... and also the indiest. BTW, C2 is a bit of a mystery. I assume that the deaths are all player deaths, but prior to 2006 there were only about 11 non-white videogame protagonists in single-player games, so I guess he has to be a fighting game character. The high-waisted jeans mark it out as being made prior to 1990. But he seems a little too small of a sprite for vs. fighters made after 1988, which makes me think it's a beat-em-up like Final Fight.

Yeah I'm stumped, the sprite size definitely looks like a final fight type of game. There is some sort of net behind him, so it could be a basketball game or a wrestling one.

By the way, if nobody guesses this, you all have to promise to go and play it!

re - the multi arcade image: A2 is indeed RTYPE. and yes A3 is sidearms! A4 is 1943 actually. B3 is black tiger. C6 is Jackal. E4 is Willow (bit too obscure with that image crop i took i think, sorry). leaving... C2. For which I`ll give a few clues: Its a beat em up. It has up to 4 players. You can punch/kick people when they are down. By the makers of TMNT arcade game. And it`s rather darn good IMHO (I`m lucky enough to have the pcb sat in a box behind me ).

PYRO II HELL YES
Correct! Your turn to post a screenshot. Pyro II, a terrorism simulator which was written by a Michael O'Brien, who went on to enslave himself to the Man (Blizzard, in this case). For everyone who hasn't tried it, here is a link: LinkMaybe we need a Pyro II high scores thread?
