Thanks man. I'm just going to float this out there... While i am in the process of programming this game... i'm coming more and more to the realisation that i would rather focus on game design and animation, and narriative/joke design. If you are a programmer and my art gets you hot and bothered. Lets get in touch, send me a pm. The game is going to be made regardless. It would just be nicer to have a partner to do it with .

Ah wow, wow! I havent checked this thread in a few days, and clearly I've been missing out! Those effects are gorgeous! I love the pop you give them, that's exactly what I've been missing from special effects.

Thanks guys! Raku, yeah had a bit of a break when i was doing freelance and am now back into it properly! So this is the current prototype set of animations. She is in her underwear as she is a paper doll to be dressed. I'm also working with a coder that contacted me, so i'll post more news on that front once we get a bit more progress.

Yeah, these animations are pretty great! A lot of personality in them, indeed.

Hey everybody, I'm the new programmer for Treasure Star. We've moved over to working in game maker now, it's only been a week but we already have the player running around the planet with a few enemies starting to appear here and there. Today has been spent mostly fine tuning the movement around the planet and making it feel good. Here's a Gif of the player running around an asteroid(Mind the angle snapping):Maybe tomorrow when I have a bit more time I'll go more in depth about how the player movement works.

I like this. A lot. A LOT.
Going to go back through the devlog, but I like what I've seen from the recent GIFs and the animations are great.

Verrry nice on the parallax on the starfield behind. It bothers me when parallax scrolls too fast, but this looks good and has a lot of depth to it. Also nice job on the flight. It looks like you have a key to rotate the camera, too?

The planet camera rotation is disabled in this GIF. Usually while on planets it'll keep the player upright on the screen and rotate the level, in space it'll stay at the rotation you left the planet on.

Thanks everyone! It means a lot. I just want to reiterate how amazing a job thekill is doing on implementing my crazy ideas, there is so much tweaking involved to get things feeling solid.

This is looking sweet. What do you use to animate? Some really crisp artwork here. Cain't wait to see how the game evolves
