I'm pretty sure that Doom was the very first PC game I ever played. I still play Doom till this day. I have Ultimate Doom on my laptop right now

Yes! Everyone must play this now, unless you want to wait an unspecified time for the next version to come out. It's really a nice wad, very much like an old adventure game. I'm glad to see that it's getting expanded because it's become one of my favourite wads. It's a really really fine piece of work. Available here. I did the music for it!

Nope, even I remember playing this when it was new. My parents didn't agree with me doing it, though. I thought you were 16 years old

Honestly I don't see what the fuss is all about with Doom. I played it maybe five years ago and it seemed really boring... set the template for all the boring FPS games to come. I do like the graphical style though. Something very appealing about those chunky old 3D games.

How great is Doom II. One of the most important games from my childhood along with Dune II. But I only managed to win it this year. Some of the best character and level designs around.

Doom used to be the only FPS I liked. Of course, now I like all sorts, but Doom is still my favourite.
Hey, don't tell me what I like and what I don't! For the record, I dont like doom.

Hey, don't tell me what I like and what I don't! For the record, I dont like doom. I must be mistaken, because I clearly do enjoy Doom. I'm going to find this thread in a few months and try to remember if I was taking any drugs around this time.
