LYFE is a top-down roguelike shooter. It will have super-tight controls and hopefully make the overall "feel" of the game very nice. It will feature a random weapon generation system as well as the standard stuff of roguelike games, like currency management and the one-life system. The game is in pre-alpha right now, but I'll give you guys what I have now for feedback purposes. All art is placeholder up to now. If you test the game, the game creates five level 2 weapons. When you create new weapons in the game, they will be placed in the fifth slot, which is the MG slot by default. These guns are level 0, so they are worse than what you start out with, nonetheless, you should get an idea. The music is made by Maverick, a demo of the music can be found here: dynamic music demoGet it here: LYFE demoFacebook page for frequent updates and a big thank you: AlphaRezI'm streaming when I'm developing, catch me here if you're into those kind of things! The controls are pretty nice so far, movement feels nice and smooth. Good luck with this game, I'll be watching. Nice to see someone else still using XNA too!

Just added the menu's for the game (without graphics). The resolution option has 16 resolutions, ranging from 320x200 to 1600x900, to choose from!

Items can now lay on the ground! The next part is picking them up, so that shouldn't take very long.

Level saving and loading works, so I can start creating some levels for the game to showcase it more!

Loads of work done to the internal parts of the game, meaning mainly the level editor. And I've added explosions.
The awesomeness of a game is basically the amount of explosions in a game. Deal with it.
