There's a problem with the Homebrew Channel that means loading ROMs from SD in SNES9xGx doesn't work  It only works in the wiimote version, which doesn't actually have an X button and doesn't allow remapping yet. I need the X button to bring up the map in Earthbound! |

Nope - the wiimote support was just modded in by a guy who wanted it for a specific game, so it's very limited. I think he's working on allowing the user to change the key bindings and use other controllers, though.

Hmm, good point... Nintendo could most likely detect it if you do an update, and potentially even make your Wii stop working after the update...

But if you uninstall it, can they tell that it was once on your machine? If not, why not just delete the channel/twilight hack/homebrew when you need to send it in?
