please dont call those classy.
because every commercial cover is crass does not make any decent one "classy".
that's just decent, albeit derivative design.
whereas everything we're used to is just garbage.

and genericuser, if that elastic band is meant to be a moleskine-type elastic band, why can i see through it?

I would, but I'm out and out lousy with digital art programs. Probably because I'm not much of an artiste in general. More of a... mid-lecture doodler.

SO! I'll just give them to you in text. Some of those SA covers are rather slick (R-Type!, Olly Moss's), others are out-and-out awful. Especially horrified by: THE INCLUSION of those "Xbox 360" and "PLAYSTATION 3" splash... things. Monstrous.

I'd love to see another take on video game covers, though. It's not going to happen, but hey.

FURTHER OPINIONS: Dig the Cave Story, though the water-marky look is a bit overdone, I think. The Eversion cover is almost there, but... maybe it's the "Zara Presents" font, or the white space to the side, or its border. Regardless, something's a little off*. Still nice.

Keep up the covers, folks!


*EDIT: Is that intentional? Because that would be fantastic.

I made something that doesn't quite fit into TIGS, but rather in the Something Awful forums. I think SA is pretty shite, but I was about to register, when I saw, that it ... COSTS MONEY WHAT THE ASS.
