I'm working on a Gameboy-style game for the LoFi RPG jam next weekend, and I've decided I'd really like to do it from the perspective of looking at the screen of an actual Gameboy.

The problem I'm having is that my original Gameboy is who-knows-where, and the only really large images of a Gameboy screen I can find on the interwebs are full of terrible, terrible jpeg artifacts. If anyone actually has an original Gameboy kicking around and can snap a digital picture of the screen, the surrounding dark-gray part and a bit of the bordering area in the highest resolution available (so I could downscale it to something more appropriate later), that would be totally awesome.

I'm afraid all I can provide in exchange is gratitude, man hugs and sexual favours, but hopefully you can find it in your hearts to help a brother out!

Would a red Game Boy Pocket be acceptable? I could fetch mine sometime soon.

Thanks, guys!

Were the Gameboy pockets still black and green?

No, sadly, they were black and light-brownish/tan instead of greenish. Undecided

I have one right here and it's green. Not as green as the original one though.

Small pictures, I assume.

I could get you a black Game Boy Pocket by tomorrow, but I guess  that wouldn't do any good.

Edit: What about this?

Yeah, I have a picture very similar to that, which I grabbed off Google and cleaned up a bit. The problem, as I mentioned, is block discoloration and ringing (I've always wondered: is that due to the Gibbs phenomenon?) from the JPEG compression.

I mean, I have a passable version at the moment -- I just figured I'd check and see if anyone could grab me a cleaner picture. No worries, obviously, if no one has got access to one.
