Hey guys, So I was wondering what your comments were about reusing art? like tilesets, enemies all that. If I make game A and a lot of the art can be reused for Game B, should I? I always seem to reuse tilesets and guys, it just seems to be the way I draw pixel art. The games are wildly different but the tilesets look similar, So what are your opinions?

I think Studio Pixel did something along the lines of that between Ikachan and Cave Story. Well, a lot of the blocks you'd see were. Maybe  you should just do something to vary them a bit, like different directions of grass blades.

I think that's legit, and fans of your games will come to recognize your characters and style, like Player 3 said of Studio Pixel.  I actually enjoy seeing reoccuring graphics, they have stories all onto themselves, when they move between games.

Should you?  Well, do whatever you want to do.  Artistic vision and all that : follow it.

I think re-using art is fine, as long as the game is a sequel or set in the same universe.
