Cheers all Smiley

Arne:Yeh, I know, I might go and ignore the 4 spritepalettes max thing and have a bit more colour in the sprites, not much tho. Like pretending you can use layering for every sprite almost, or at least for bigger enemies like the fat cactus.

Made a few pencilsketches for the game and decided to make a quick paintup of one in PS sampling from the NES palette.

Also, from now on I will be doing much much more stuff for this game, since it started rolling again, but I will not post much. I hope there will be a small demo soonish (a month or 2)

Just an idea, but you might be able to skip the outlining of anything that only appears over a dark background, which'd free up an extra colour. Like the fat cactus in that screen: you could make his black lines transparent and nobody would know.

pixelres will be 256x224, like the ntsc NES, but it will prolly be a higher res like 640x480 with doublesize pixels and letterboxing.

I think the color restriction makes it clean and nice.

Also, obligatory OS X request! Smiley

Sorry Derek, but you got it wrong. Look at the two round cactus, then the one on top and what it got on it's head... Now that's "phalistic"! :D

BTW, the game looks very nice, especially for a NES title. Way to go!
Take care!

Thanks all.

About the OSX stuff: Just had a chat with the coder and he said he never does platform dependant stuff, so we will almost surely have a OSX and *NIX port of the game as well as Windows of course Smiley
