Anything with a japanese or anime style for the characters has got my vote. <3 chibi !

You'll fit right in, here.

I guarantee you were no better when you were 12 years old.

I know I wasn't.

Even then, I didn't like the anime/chibi style. So sue me.

Hey, remember when people were tolerant of other people's opinions? Oh wait, that never happened.

Anime isn't a fucking style. It's a loanword for animation. There are thousands and thousands of styles and substyles that exist within it.

To pass judgement and make generalizations on such a large body of work is ridiculous.

Please don't quote posts that big in their entirety. In fact, no need to quote; I think we would have understood you were referring to the previous post.

If we're on the subject of awesome Japanese art styles, I think Afro Samurai deserves a mention.  Say what you want about the series itself, the art was spectacular.

Cool, never heard of Range Murata before, but I really like that style.
Anyone seen any of David Franklands stuff before? Unfortunately I couldn't find any pictures without the book titles but the covers he did for Mortal Engines are great:

Also does anyone know where this image is from? It's by the same guy and I know I've seen it before but I can't remember if it was on a book cover or somewhere else...

Going by the alias Jnt Hed, this guy is one of the Boktai and Metal Gear Solid artists. There's a lot of loli and transgender stuff, so NSFW, but his style is beyond fucking incredible.

EDIT: Changed the link to the direct archive. I'd post some images but apparently they're pixiv based and I'm not sure if they'll hotlink properly. Sorry!

Love this games graphic style. The high res pixel art in the opening just adds to it. This was probably the last Arcade game to use "mode 7" style sprite scaling
