found this thread: http://community.acer.com/t5/Aspire-Desktops/Acer-Aspire-TC-780-and-adding-a-graphics-card/td-p/491525

EDIT: the motherboard uses an intel H110 chipset according to goggle

I hate to say this but you should probably have built the PC yourself. Prebuilts can be hard to mod because of weird motherboards and a shitty bios w/ limited functionality.

U will also want to find out what your PSU's (power supply) wattage is so you know whether it can power your GPU.

300W I believe, which seems to be required for at least the gt1050 which is the only decent sub 200€ I can afford right now.

What's UEFI Huh?

- internet send me mixed signal about PCI so I needed to ask, Apparently pci2 card can go on pci3 but not the inverse ...
PCI isn't compatible, but PCIe is.

Damn it those term, I was talking about pcie, but that does make my point it's a mess, it's like gpu name, it's obscure for no reason, How I would have know that the gpu was another series that another geforce series in 7x and that geforce aren't just for game, even though they have a naming for non gaming card ...
@silber
okay, so just a bios
/rage quit

Also potato run xenoblade x at 30fps ... it run as well as the ds emulator (better in fact) and the dolphin emulator ...

regarding your performance issues in unity, maybe turning off onboard graphics as suggested in that thread I linked will help?

You mean integrated graphics? there is none, at least it doesn't show up in the system despite the spec of the processor say it's embedded inside the chip ...

I fixed the unity issue by deactivating the complex light in editor, seems that standard shader are too heavy despite me having just one character, a single directional light, a flat ground, a bed, a chair and a table ... Sad
But now it's fluid as it should be (I just ticked the scene lighting toggle really)

I anyway the whole cost me 800e so I'll only be able to do new purchases 4 month later

No "Intel HD graphics" anywhere in the device manager? Have you checked under both graphics cards and system devices?

Double checking:

- device manager (gestionnaire des peripheriques): Nvidia geforce GT 705
- system devices: nothing

But I have spot something I missed: PCIe controller 16x

I'm also discovering the magicland of cheaper cpu being more efficient ... There is an i3-7100 that cost way lower than the i3-2120 I have while outperming it lol, I already have the i3 so no need to buy but it does show how labyrinthine making a pc really is. I don't regret buying my pc, the condition wasn't there for building mine due to multiple complication, I know I would have cheaper and more powerful by building mine, but damn it you have to decypher so many thing!

Fun thing, I was looking at top level cpu and their heat, I was wondering, did someone thought about building storage water heater (or a refrigerator) with their Bitcoin/render farm?

Yep for a long time apperently ...

Too bad I'm in a tropical country

yeah this is a big thing with cpus. number of cores and prices can be deceptive. i got an i5 (skylake) instead of an i7 last year because the price difference wouldnt have justified the performance increase: http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-6600K/3502vs3503

building a pc is not that much cheaper. this is one of the biggest myths of pc building. prebuilts can in fact be cheaper because they can scale down prices thanks to high production volumes. their real downside is that they're more difficult to customize/upgrade. so custom built pcs are cheaper in the long run if you're planning on upgrading a lot (i.e. why it's recommended for gaming), but the initial investment is about equal and often lower. with a prebuilt you're obv also paying for features you might not need and manufacturers tend to skimp on non "glamorous" components like PSUs and fans which can be a problem.

imo the reason you're having trouble is that you're trying to mod a pc with a poorly documented proprietary motherboard. building a pc from scratch is much easier. building my pc last year took about 1 week, and that includes research and ordering parts (i've upgraded GPUs and RAM in the past but never built one from scratch).

I haven't try anything yet, it was all anticipation, and I was already turned out by that lol. I guess this bad GPU gave a me a foot into looking at the details, if everything goes right I will need to ramp up productivity and have the tools with it.

I also just figure out how to use pcpartpicker, I was using the wrong click to add parts lol.
