I remember you from the Rock Paper Shotgun party in the pub. I was quite sloshed but I remember you running back down the stairs to give me your business card. Good luck on your Kickstarter!

Hey guys 'n gals,
We made a few more concepts, this time for the restaurant building(s). They're based on food trucks, so it will be possible to have different ones for each recipe or foodtype your villagers can serve and eat. It should be pretty easy to just switch the billboards and colors.

Water seems so much more appealing at your sketches than in the engine Sad
Wet, transparent, shiny! 3d, on contrary, looks plastic, flat, dull.
White foam FTW!

If you're being serious: I would dull down the highlights of the reflection a bit; it looks too much like glass now IMO, which doesn't line up with the old aesthetic (including the sketches).

Yeah there's a bit of gif artifacting going on, here's a still.

It looks great. I don't think you need to dull the highlights in general, but in the distance, because it creates too much noise near the horizon.

I'd personally prefer the water to be less "realistic" as it seems rather busy and would prefer a cartoon type shader with a few colors.  Though, it might look different once you add more floating islands as those become the primary visual and then having extra detail in the water would actually work better.

Is that water/foam in the raft?

So I've been working on an Atmosphere Tool for a nice day/night cycle for Flotsam which is almost complete.
I've also added a plugin that allows for water settings to be changed depending on the time of day.

I'm usually not interested in simulator type games, but this looks great. Can't wait to see more of this flooded world and its inhabitants.

Really interesting setting, the art reminds me of the Deponia adventures but has a unique touch to it.
