I'm Tom and I'm attempting to move from "fooling around in Game Maker" to "making a game in Game Maker". I really enjoy stealth games, RPGs, action games, and I've lost whole weekends to Civilization.

I go to game meetups periodically in Boston and the very talented community here has inspired me to take the leap forward toward getting the game I've always wanted to make done!

I'm skilled at learning technology, organizational design, and business, if anyone needs help in those arenas.

Hi

My name is Damian Kaczmarek and I am 26. I am from Poland where I finished university with degree in computer science. I discovered how awesome video games are when I was 3 and my parents bought C64 for my older brother.

Together with my friend I have little company called Vivified Bits. We make our own apps for Android and also freelance for other companies. Hope is that one day we gonna make good enough games that it will possible to just make games for a living. At this point we have released two games for Android:
Space Rogue: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.egalaxy.spacerogue.android
and
Gravity Escape: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.vivifiedbits.gravityescape.android

Hi, folks, my name is Alex "AlejandroDaJ" Jordan! I'm a bored bureaucrat that works a desultory 9-to-5 job in DC and makes vidja garmes in his spare time.  I've been modding or creating games for over two decades at this point, and really cut my teeth in the Half-Life modding scene as an old Firearms Half-Life team member.

Since then I've been making indie games on PC and Xbox. My perennial game is "Cute Things Dying Violently", which has already been released on Xbox Live Indie Games and Desura back in the day. It's a game that refuses to die, and I'm currently readying up a Steam (PC/Mac/Linux) and iOS/Android version. Five platforms at once for a one-man studio... what could possibly go wrong?

Good day,

I am Carlie L. I am part of Ayo The Clown Team. Ayo The Clown is a new platform game that we are currently developing. You can check the game through http://collective.square-enix.com/projects/124/ayo-the-clown. Your Constructive Comment is very much appreciated. Your inputs are really important to me because I believe there are a lot of excellent developers here.

Thank you for this opportunity,

Carlie L.

Hi,

Im Chris, I am currently studying a Degree(BA Hons) in Design for Games at Plymouth College of Art.
My final project is the creation of my up and coming game currently entitled 'ENERGY'.
I started out enjoying designing games back when Neverwinter Nights was a hit new game with its powerful toolkit, I quickly took a shine to this and my interests in Game Design developed quickly.

After my degree course I am looking to release my current project as soon as its ready to finally get my foot into the competitive world that is the Game Industry.

I've been lurking on and off here for so long I forgot about this thread. But since I've finally got around to registering...

Games programmer, games player, general geek. I specialise in gameplay, network and graphics programming, and recently I've been working with Unity and getting into VR development.

Also an avid board games player, but these days due to lack of time I end up collecting them and stacking them on shelves rather than playing them.  Shrug

Hi everyone!

I'm Sumero Lira, Italian indie dev!

I'm born in 1988, and now I'm control engineer; I founded a startup of book, toys and videogames, called Neotenia. I'm specialized in modular and emergent gameplay and procedural generation; my graduation thesis was about 2d platformer's level generation. Now I mainly use Unity and C#. I also work with some psychologists to build trainings for rehab and life skills promotion.

When I was a child I loved Apogee and BitmapBrothers games. I also loved Another World and the first Starcraft. About recent games I love Mirror Moon, Fez, Ibb and Obb.

Thanks for your attention

Hello all.
I got into games because my older brother introduced me to corona several years ago. I have since moved to Unity3d. I have been dev-ing part time for five years and full time for the last year. No notable games to mention that i have made. Mostly apps though, and all on Android. I love making games and am hoping to meet some great people here.

Hello. I go by Ratchet Miles on the internet and have been trying to actually learn programming since January. I love Monster and MLP. I have been gaming on and off since I was like, 4 with a PS1, and currently play games on PC. I love to play games sometimes just studying textures and models, or I learn Python once in a while.

Hi all,

My name is Mark Aherne and I am a game developer based in Galway, Ireland.

My passions are game design and programming, especially systems/simulations. Anything with emergent possibilities really.

I am really not great at talking about myself, but thanks for reading!

Hi everyone!

My name is Damian Komorowski, from Poland and I'm big fan of Game Jams. My first one was in 2011 and since then I finished 43 games. I also organised few Jams and even done a talk in conference about procgen in jam games!

I'm using GameMaker for over 6 years as a main tool, and I'm moderator on biggest non-English GameMaker forum GMClan.org

My 2 biggest games are now on suspense because of lack of budget. Shrug And right now I'm working on a co-op platform shooter. Thankfully it's going well and I can see finish line from where I am. Wink

I'll post info about game soon, but I prefer coding instead of writing about it!

Ahoy,
My name is Lars Steel (Ph.D Steel is just a cool sounding name, I have no Ph.D and most likely will never get one) and I'm an Informatics student at the University of Ghent from Belgium.

I've been obsessed with game design for as long as I can remember but as I'm a rather fearful person, I've only recently been pushing myself to get stuff done in that area, largely thanks to my coding classes and tons of new game dev resources helping me realize it's not so impossible to get into after all.

My largest inspirations in terms of games tend to be the the Miyazaki directed Souls games, the Metroid series and DMC3-4.

My main interests in game design usually relate to how far diegesis can be pushed and constructing simple but consistent worlds with potential for emergent stories.

I'm mainly joining Tigsource to bite the bullet and get more active with my own projects, on top of soaking up as much experienced advice as possible.

Cheers and hopefully I'll be joining in some threads here soon
