Will be Xbox 360 version? You can't do it on Game Maker, but can on XNA. Gentleman

if we will not lose interest to development of this game  Gentleman

Hello TIG! While developing our current game J2H we have faced a problem of built-in Game Maker level edtior to be very limited in it's abilities, thus began to search for alternatives. We needed a very simple and handy map editor that would support multiple layers (and manipulations over them). A matching one was found quite fast – Tiled Map Editor. It's capabilities were fully covering our needs and so a loader for ones map format was done in Game Maker.

Gamemaker's level editor does support multiple layers, but it is a bit tedious to switch between them.

yeah
Tiled Map Editor is much easy in any layers management - that's why we make TME to GM map convereter

I think the gui elements may be a bit too spread out? It would be nicer to have everything in a place where you could get all relevant information at a single glance rather than having to look around at different parts of the screen to get a full assessment. You might also see what elements you can relegate to a menu or that you can hide and only show when requested or relevant: two maps seems a bit much and unnecessary to be in constant view.

I know it's WIP, but I also feel that tiles and objects clash rather unevenly. It's like two different pixel artists worked on them, and they couldn't agree on a style.

EDIT: Also, here's my feedback on the UI... Evil

(The overall feedback is still Gentleman though!)

These graphics are so beautiful! I could see this like published by Nintendo on one of their consoles.

I have been checking up on this game periodically. It is looking great. I love the direction it is taking.

I do agree with eobet that the tiles are visually confusing. I think one thing that could potentially alleviate the problem is to not have the top of the walls line up with the floor tiles.

Keep up the good work!
