ZzArt - Abstract Art Evolution

Hi everyone, I have just opensourced my generative art creation tool ZzArt!
It uses genetic programming to allow you to evolve art from random seeds.
It can export HD images and GLSL shader code.

Examples (HD versions on GitHub)...

This is a cool project, I followed you.

Just FYI, there is a program Electric Sheep that does a similar sort of thing:

I think this guy's video is a bit silly, saying that what is essence a sophisticated screensaver is actually a life form. Genetic algorithms are just a good heuristic for searching a large space. But I do think computer generated art is an interesting topic and I'd love to help with some ideas, I did do a project on genetic algorithms when I was in school so I know how this stuff works really well.

Thank you, yes electric sheep is great! This is different though because you actually control the evolution. Also, it is just static images, you can iterate very quickly.

I've done a bit of genetic programming in my day too, and I have some crazy project ideas coming up. I will let you know if there is something you can help with!
