Just took some. Looks pretty nice. All the icons have changed so that will take some getting used to!

Links so as not to spam the thread Smiley

Just replace the files in minecraft.jar.

That texture pack is looking pretty good, but I still prefer the zelda one.

Here's a nice overview of "all" texture packs: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=12352

The Zelda pack looks sweet, though I haven't seen more than one screenshot.
I really liked using Taehl's Texturepack: http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=12169

It looks nicely gritty and I was especially fond of how armor, tools and weapons actually look more advanced the better their material is, with golden ones looking especially fancy Smiley

*Fences - Place them and they will connect with nearby fenceposts. They are too tall to jump over.
* Day/Night cycle added to multiplayer.
* Chickens and pigs added to multiplayer.
* You can now empty your bucket of milk by using it on the ground.
* Right clicking on usable blocks makes your arm swing to match the thirdperson animation for right clicking.
* Thirdperson view is centered again.
-*- Bugs-*-
o Items left on crafting table when exiting it are deleted forever.
o Mobs in multiplayer can not be killed. .

Oh, and spider-riding skeletons, apparently...

Oh god I accidentally leave shit on the crafting table all the time. I thought the previous update put them back in your inventory, that was rather nice.

The last update dumped them on the floor in front of you, which usually meant getting them back.

I guess overhauling the inventory management has led to some idiosyncrasies.

Ooh fences! I've noticed a new small shrub around the place too. Still haven't seen any of those slimes yet, or diamonds for that matter.

I haven't noticed any slimes myself, actually.

As for diamonds, they are found near the bottom of the map in groups 0f 4 or 5

A shrub? Hm... Too bad I can't download the update  Cry
Anyway, slimes were made 'regional' so they only appear in certain areas, and they only appear at a certain depth... But I think Notch took them out for now, since they were spawning like crazy everywhere at first...
As for diamond, it's usually found near lava along with redstone. It's probably best to find a cave entrance and keep going down through the caves until you find a lava cavern...

Dear Notch. It occurs to me that you'll be leaving Seattle on the same day as I'll be arriving for PAX. If your flight leaves SEATAC after noon (mine gets in at 11) then and you'd like to rendezvous then I'll buy you lunch if you let me pick your brain.

Or if you want to decline a stranger offering you give you food on the internet that's cool too.

edit: also, what this game needs more of:

female avatars.
