Does anyone know where I can find proper bitmap fonts in proper image formats (PNG, GIF, even BMP) but not in BDF or FON?

Well, a bitmap font is just a screenshot away from a vector font... I'd go screenshotting on http://www.dafont.com/bitmap.php?af=on .

Save the screenshot in what format you want.

I need full ASCII (0-255) for what I'm doing, not just some letters

There are 128 symbols in ascii, and many of them (the first few dozen) do not have commonly accepted visual single-glyph representations. Eg that's why we express "\n" in 2 glyphs

i think he means he wants the images in the *order* of ascii, rather than having to cut and paste hundreds of little images and arranging them in ascii order

there are programs that let you do this

Most of the sets use CP 437, which is full ASCII / extended ASCII / high ASCII

so if that one has problems you just need to go to #2 or #3 and not just #1 on google

here's another then: http://www.lmnopc.com/bitmapfontbuilder/

Here's some stuff I made but it's for Dwarf Fortress so there's a load of graphics instead of certain characters... If it's usable then go ahead.
