The Game That Ate The World is my new article at The Escapist. Why am I posting it here? Well, it's the bittersweet story of Phenomenon 32, a game that began as an entry for the TIGSource cockpit compo, and I thought it be interesting to other developers.

I tried to be as painfully honest as I could, so perhaps this can both warn and inspire.

Never got around to playing Phenomenon 32, but I do like your article. Interesting look at issues of scale in developing worlds and systems, amongst other things.
