I've been messing around with making some super simple 16x16 Gameboy-style tiles for a project that, without going into really any detail at all, is meant to look kinda shitty.
I'm trying to work with really limited colors before branching out into bigger stuff, because I still don't have the fundamentals down. Textures, shapes, light, etc.

I keep overthinking things, though, and changing my mind, and doodling. I do sorta like my rocks! They're a little overcomplicated compared the grass tiles, which were meant to be Pokemon R/B levels of simple, but I think I learned some things about texture and tiling there.

Dunno what that little house is even doing there. Got bored and doodled it, didn't finish it. It's pretty bad. :')

I'll post more stuff here as I'm learnin.

It all looks quite good. The rocks in particular.

Consider a version of the house with some more face detail, maybe some highlights.

It looks great, I always like that Gameboy-style :D I think it's good to try and make textures and things, to practice with the pixels.

And I agree, that house with some details will be nice Wink

I'll do some details on the house today! I was going to to start with, but then wasn't actually planning on finishing it because I didn't know if it was usable.

Heres an idea of what you could do with the house. I would definitely make that door much bigger!!
