Hey folks,
it's time to announce my first project on TIGForums: DUCK SPACE

What?

DUCK SPACE will be developed live at MaGnology 2016 in Hamburg (1. - 3. July).
I will prepare all graphics and develop a tiny game live in 2.5 days at the event using Corona SDK.
All visitors can test the game and watch the development process.  Smiley

Why?

One main reason is to show players how much work is going into their beloved games and maybe get some of them into trying game development themself.

Sounds interesting?

I will tweet during the event at my channel @ScreenHeadMedia
So follow me if you are interested in how it's going.  Well, hello there!

Show me more!

To finish this starting post, here's a mockup of the game I will develop.
Help this brave feathery fella to defend his home world against waves of asteroids!

Game looks real pretty, and I like the idea. Why not livestream the event in addition to tweeting?

Hey bdsowers, glad to hear you like it Smiley

Live streaming would be awesome, but unfortunately the internet connection at the event is barely fast enough for the development. So that that wont be possible Sad

But I will definetly keep that in mind for future events!

I'd like to share some animations with you I did for the game so far:

The duck was animated using Spine, which offers a runtime for Corona SDK.
I love working with Spine, as it allows you to create simple animations in no time.

I might rework the animations, especially the walk, but otherwise the character will be very smal in the game. So maybe I don't bother with it.
